Feel free to bring your old jewelry with you. A ring that doesn't fit or perhaps something you inherited and hold on to because of it’s sentimental value but don’t want to wear. Very often the metal and/or stones can be reused.

Over the years I developed my own approach to signet rings that recall traditional shapes but don’t necessarily rely on engravings or inlets. Instead the surface left from the sand casting forms a unique pattern on the pieces after filing and polishing - turning the “flaws” themselves into a beautiful signature.
All pieces are crafted by hand in Berlin using both modern and ancient techniques. Due to one of the oldest casting methods on earth – sand casting – they are all one of a kind and absolutely unique.

Sand casting is a fascinating process: The melted metal is poured into a form made from a special type of sand, creating a characteristic surface and forming an individual pattern on each piece. During this process, the form in the sand is destroyed and therefore needs to be rebuilt for the next cast. Casting in sand is a process that can not be controlled down to its last detail. At some point the technique takes over and decides things for you – making every piece of jewelry slightly different.

Sand casting offers a number of advantages:
It makes me very flexible, since I can cast right at the studio without having to rely on external casting companies.
It is sustainable because I can reuse old material and if a cast goes wrong, it just gets melted down again for the next one.
I can cast-in certain stones like diamonds, rubies and sapphires, which results in a unique look, that isn’t achieved by a classic stone setting.Of course I offer addiational methods besides sand casting, should a design call for it.

I studied jewelry and object design in the South of Germany. During this time I developed my strong inclination for ancient techniques and lengthy processes with meditational character. My pieces develop either out of the process and wouldn’t be possible without the specific manufacturing technologies used and/or out of a superordinate concept that defines a certain possibility space for my creations. Always oscillating between the mind, the unconscious and my gut feeling, ancient and modern, minimal and detailed, emotionality and rationality. Influenced by my love for art, language and old movies, the absurd, the uncommon and the beauty of our cosmos.
